Client stories

Specific comments from finance and sustainability owners who commissioned disclosure reviews with us.

“They caught a Scope 3 boundary mismatch that would have contradicted our loan covenant schedule. The memo was dense, but the board paper version was clear.”

— Mei Ling Cheung, Group Financial Controller, mid-cap industrial issuer

“Turnaround was tight ahead of the annual report print date. We wished the kickoff had started a week earlier, yet the findings still landed in time for the audit committee.”

— Marcus Wong, Head of Sustainability Reporting

“The climate metric check alone paid for itself when Julian’s team found our intensity denominator still used last year’s revenue bridge. Quiet work, precise mark-ups.”

— Anita Ho, CFO, logistics group

“Board pack review felt stricter than our internal dry run. Two slides were pulled the night before circulation — uncomfortable, and correct.”

— David Leung, Company Secretary

Case note: dual-language annual pack

A composite-index issuer asked us to read the English ESG appendix and Chinese finance footnotes in parallel two weeks before printer proofs. We logged fourteen medium findings and three high findings. The highest related to a green-bond use-of-proceeds sentence that no longer matched the note in the financial statements after a mid-year reallocation. Management revised both languages before the audit committee paper was circulated.

Case note: private group lender pack

A family-owned manufacturer preparing a sustainability addendum for a club loan needed a review without a public listing calendar. We limited scope to emissions tables and covenant-linked KPIs. Four workbook errors were corrected; the narrative needed only light edits. The lender’s ESG questionnaire was answered from the cleaned tables the following week.
